Welcome to the Michigan Chapter of the
Society of Government Meeting Professionals
The Michigan Chapter of the Society of Government Meeting Professionals (MISGMP) is dedicated to improving the knowledge and expertise of individuals in the planning and management of government meetings through education, training, industry relationships and mutual support.
Monthly Registration Changes
Beginning January 1, 2012
Early registration ends the Thursday prior to the meeting at 5:00 pm.
Late registrations will be accepted up to 5:00pm the Monday prior to the meeting. A $10.00 late fee will be charged.
Program preregistration will end at 5:00pm the Monday prior to the meeting.
At the door registration prices will be as follows (there is no guarantee that lunch will be provided for walk-ins):
Suppliers: $50.00
Planners: $30.00
Cancelation refunds will be provided when notification is received prior to 5:00pm on the Thursday before the meeting.
A member property may send a supplier guest to monthly programs at the applicable guest rate.
A non-member guest may attend one program at the applicable guest rate. (Planners $0 and Suppliers $35.00) After which you must become a member in order to attend monthly programs.

After a brief overview, join one of several facilitated small group discussions around key issues of government meeting planning and share your knowledge and expertise. Each small group will develop a list of the “Top Ten Tips” for their category. All “Top Ten Tips” lists will be compiled and emailed to participants after the meeting, and the “Top Three” from each group will be shared onsite. Help yourself, and others, to think creatively and strategically to solve government meeting planning challenges!
